Multimedia - video, screen capture, stills, photography

Flynn employs the digital screen as a medium for self-reflection and interrogation, treating the physical laptop as a companion and lover, photographing the device within moments of personal significance. These images place the laptop in romantic or private settings, while simultaneously revealing the artist within the screen, photographing themselves in an attempt to enter into a dialogue—or even a love affair—with the self. Yet this self remains mediated, framed as a digital interface: a body rendered in pixels within the Google Meet window, surrounded by iconography that allows one to alter backgrounds, disconnect, or hang up—gestures that echo the possibility of disconnection from oneself.
