Red Chairs, One Perspective is a series of images selected through the lens of a single analogue camera, showing one perspective, among three. Each image shows a moment where one of the participatory subjects activated the photograph through a manual shutter release and unbeknownst to the remaining two participants who were simultaneously activating two other cameras placed elsewhere in the scene. Three subjects, three cameras, three perspectives, three moments in time. The work is a collaboration between Hermione Flynn and Joanna Krawczyk, showing their pursuit of non-hierarchical photography practices, where the subjects maintain autonomy over the position of their body within time, within the frame and within a relational context.
